London, UK – 30 November, 2021 Cloudreach, a leading independent multi-cloud services company, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services, Inc (AWS) Energy Competency status. This designation recognizes that Cloudreach has demonstrated deep expertise helping customers leverage AWS cloud technology to transform complex systems and accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future.

Achieving the AWS Energy Competency differentiates Cloudreach as an AWS Partner with deep expertise and technical proficiency within this unique industry, including proven customer success developing solutions across the value chain, from production operations and optimization, to commodities trading, new energy solutions, and more. To receive the designation, AWS Partners undergo a rigorous technical validation process, including a customer reference audit. The AWS Energy Competency provides energy customers the ability to more easily select skilled partners  to help accelerate their digital transformations with confidence.

“Cloudreach is proud to achieve AWS Energy Competency designation,” said Kevin Davis, Executive Cloud Advisor at Cloudreach. “Our team is dedicated to helping companies achieve their technology goals by leveraging the agility, breadth of services, and pace of innovation that AWS provides.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

Cloudreach has a long track record of delivering transformational outcomes for customers such as bp, GRTGaz and other global energy groups. Cloudreach helps global energy and utility organizations realize the value of the cloud through end-to-end public cloud information technology (IT) transformation services from cloud strategy consulting, cloud infrastructure design and build, cloud application migration and modernization, through to cloud managed services, data engineering and DevOps services. Cloudreach has guided energy customers in the creation of cloud-first strategies and delivered innovative solutions on AWS using computer vision for wind farms and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in field data collection and carbon capture data collection.

“Cloudreach brought highly specialized skills that we didn’t have internally at bp, and helped us establish our cloud regions, our technical patterns, automated everything from the outset, and ensured billing transparency for our businesses – something we were never able to do in an on-premise environment,” said Stewart Fry, Vice President and CIO, Global Enterprise Systems at bp while speaking at AWS re:Invent in 2019.
