The Challenge

Time Inc. UK wanted to be more agile and cost effective in the way it was hosting and deploying its websites. AWS was the chosen platform as it could provide the desired flexibility and scalability at a very attractive price point.

The Solution

Time Inc. UK’s main goal was to move their websites onto AWS as smoothly as possible without damaging their uptime or availability. Time Inc. UK had a talented internal technology team, but lacked experience in AWS specific project delivery.

Cloudreach was brought in to assist with two main aspects of the project:

  • Project and Change Management across all relevant stakeholders. Cloudreach provided one of its expert Cloud Project Managers to apply cloud migration best practices and methodologies to ensure a successful project. Cloudreach’s PM acted as an one of the internal team’s members and was involved in planning and driving the overall project.
  • AWS Engineering expertise. Cloudreach provided senior engineering resource to help the project team with technical best practices, AWS expertise and access to all of Cloudreach’s pool of talent. Our engineers augmented the internal DevOps team, contributing to accelerate the project as well as ensuring all infrastructure was built with the future in mind.
