Our customer first engaged with Cloudreach after encountering several challenges with their incumbent partners and observing slow progress on their cloud adoption.
They turned to Cloudreach for assistance in identifying and moving their workloads to GCP and leveraging GKE. As part of that effort, they asked for our help rebuilding their CI/CD pipeline, increasing automation and helping their team upskill on GCP.
As part of this engagement, our GCP experts embedded themselves within the customer team to assist with:
- Identifying improvements to their current CI/CD Pipeline;
- Support the GKE deployment in Production on GCP;
- Leveraged Ansible, Jenkins and Terraform to automate their environment.
Through embarking on this approach, we were able to support and facilitate the transfer of knowledge between our team to theirs, as well as remediate and resolve some of the slow progress they historically encountered.
By the end of the engagement, we were able to successfully transition production applications to the customer team, whilst also ensuring their own knowledge and expertise on GCP had improved. Through also focusing on specific Applications for migrating to GCP, we were able to strengthen the customer’s business case for additional investment into their cloud adoption initiatives. Moving forward, GCP will now be leveraged for data-centric workloads and new application development.
