The Challenge

The customer was looking for a partner to provide 24/7 support to ensure performance and availability standards were maintained over the duration of their Black Friday event, which sees substantially increased traffic and activity on their website. This customer generates around 60% of their revenue during black Friday and Cyber Monday. Delivering a seamless customer experience during this holiday event was, therefore, critical to their commercial performance.

The Solution

From Cloudreach’s experience, cloud adoption generally slows down due to lack of readiness within operations teams. So, in anticipation of the Black Friday event, Cloudreach’s team conducted a six-week Operational Readiness Assessment to review the customer’s current IT operations strategy, structure, processes, skills and tooling. 

After concluding this assessment, the Cloudreach Team produced a Recommendations Report, identifying, for the customer’s leadership team, areas where they can further strengthen and enhance their adoption of GCP to achieve their business objectives. 

During the Black Friday event, the customer continued to leverage both Cloudreach’s Managed Service Team, situated in Edinburgh and Vancouver, as well as on-site support, to monitor their website performance and availability.
