The Challenge

Slow business processes were hindering Dentsu’s  ability to respond quickly to technology and market changes, shadow IT was exposing the agency to operational, financial and security risks, and it sought to funnel high OpEx costs into innovation initiatives.

The Solution

Cloudreach helped by defining a cloud target operating model – including all people, processes and technology, governance, migration planning, the execution of approximately 300 applications from four global data centers and delivering operational acceptance with security assurances.

The business-critical migration was planned using our Cloudamize software to quantify and sequence the workloads that needed to be migrated.

Azure landing zones were implemented globally to empower sub-brands to consume public cloud services within agency governance and compliance controls.

The Outcome

The cloud migration initiative – comprising some 300 applications – was completed well ahead of schedule. Dentsu has developed a long-term cloud vision and continues to grow in the Azure cloud.

The agency has achieved cloud economics savings, reduced the problem of shadow IT with a controlled self-provisioning model, and is leveraging data insights, analytics, and machine learning to explore new business opportunities.
