This week we are proud to announce that Cloudreach has joined over 100 other tech leaders in signing the Cybersecurity Tech Accord.

The goal of the Cybersecurity Tech Accord is to:

“Promote a safer online world by fostering collaboration among global technology companies committed to protecting their customers and users and helping them defend against malicious threats.”

Those who sign the accord are committing to advancing this mission by partnering on initiatives that improve the security, stability, and resilience of cyberspace.

This generally involves maintaining an understanding of current and future threats to better protect themselves and their customers and delivering products and services that prioritise security, privacy, and reliability. It also involves working with other signatories and like-minded groups to improve technical collaboration to help enhance security best practices.

Why are we proud to sign the Accord?

One of the great things about the Cybersecurity Tech Accord is that new signatories have to be approved by current signatories. Therefore, to be approved shows some appreciated recognition from other tech leaders that Cloudreach takes cybersecurity seriously and has a key role to play in collaborating on best practices.

We are proud of the message this sends to our customers. Security remains high on the agenda for many IT decision-makers. A survey carried out by Gartner in 2018 looked into information security buyer purchasing preferences. It found 51% of respondents identified risk as their primary purchasing motivator, with 31% linking business-related concerns like acting in accordance with compliance mandates and improving risk management.  With clear demand in the market to address these concerns, it is important that Cloudreach continues to contribute to discussions around security, risk management, and compliance.

Our commitment to security

Signing the Cybersecurity Tech Accord is just the latest example of Cloudreach demonstrating its commitment to cybersecurity best practices.

In April last year, we received the 2018 Google Cloud Global Security Partner of the Year Award. This recognised our achievements on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, helping joint customers secure their business-critical and sensitive data on GCP.

Last year we also announced our partnership with AI-based cybersecurity solutions provider, Cylance, and we maintain the Cyber Essentials Certification, SOC 2 Compliance and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), to ensure we can support our customers’ security needs.

Regardless of the type of engagement, when we start working with our customers, the goal is always the same; to elevate technology and people so they can reach new heights. We want to help our customers advance their business and improve their capabilities so they can continue to succeed in their growth; creating engaging, valuable experiences for their customers.

Cloudreach is committed to continual improvement and ensuring cybersecurity best practices. Security is at the heart of what we do and we will continue to explore any opportunities we can to collaborate with the wider tech community towards this end.
