The Customer

Our customer was a healthcare IT security company providing healthcare organizations globally with a security and identity platform that delivers ubiquitous access, positive identity management, and multi-factor authentication.

The customer’s ongoing goal is to establish trust between people, technology, and information to address critical compliance and security challenges while improving productivity and the patient experience.

The Solution

We initially defined the customer’s container strategy through our architectural review engagement. Our team was initially asked to define a roadmap to implement Kubernetes using CoreOS Tectonic on AWS to replace their existing AWS ECS implementation. As discussions progressed, we steered the customer to a GCE and the global services offered by GCP. Cloudreach is now helping the customer implement a full CI/CD pipeline and deploy their core product set on GCE  using Kubernetes.

GCP offered several advantages in/around containerisation. The customer was also interested in deploying its solution globally, leveraging Google’s global databases and the AI/ML APIs.
