    Technical Account Manager London & Edinburgh

    What are we looking for

    We are looking for a Technical Account Manager to be based out of our Central London offices in Farringdon or Scottish office in Edinburgh. The right candidate will have experience providing technical consultancy in complex accounts.

    This is a great role working with a variety of big brand clients such as The Financial Times, AG Barr, Kempinski Group, Channel 4 and the Press Association.

    The role will challenge you technically as you will need to keep abreast of the latest platform enhancements and be able to translate this into real tangible solutions and a cloud roadmap which will solve challenges / bottlenecks for our customers or improve the way they use the cloud platforms. In addition, you will also need to keep a steady hand on the tiller, ensuring our customers get good value for money and that their environment is being managed to the high technical standards we expect from the Cloudreach Managed Services team. The role includes working from either our London or Edinburgh offices and will require occasional travel to spend time with our customers and with our lead partners (Google and Amazon).

    Responsibilities

    • Become an expert on Cloud systems; a huge global business opportunity

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated and proven experience in this field who is comfortable and confident of engaging with Senior Management to steer complex technical relationships with our key accounts.

    Requirements

    You are probably a consultant working for one of the large consultancies, or a niche consultancy firm or perhaps a traditional hosting / infrastructure provider and you have seen the light! None of these may apply to you but you have deep technical systems development background and a passion to share and apply your knowledge. We are looking for someone who is fun, organised and an excellent communicator.

    • Passionate about public cloud platforms and ideally a level of knowledge of AWS, Google Apps / App Engine, and force.com
    • Need to ace the technical aspects of the platform(s) - you will be a Cloud “guru”

    What are we looking for

    Cloudreach is looking for two capable systems developers with 2-3 years relevant experience who are keen to grow their technical and business skills in a fast growing company. We are looking for engineers who are both capable of working with customers on customer facing projects, as well as on complex internal development projects. Given the diverse nature of our work you will need to be flexible to work with a wide range of technologies and systems.

    What are we looking for

    Cloudreach is looking for a number of capable sysadmin engineers with 3-5 years relevant experience who are keen to grow their technical and business skills in a fast growing company. We are looking for engineers who are both capable of working on and supporting complex customer systems running in Amazon Web Services and Google Apps. We subscribe to the concept of "DevOps", where we use development skills in the operational environment in order to increase service quality. Typically our customers use an extensive array of technology running on either Linux (with Open Source) or the Microsoft stack.

    The beauty of this role is that as the hardware layer is abstracted, you focus on honing your scripting and automation skills. The intent is to fix or work around the root cause of operational issues, so that they do not reoccur.

    What are we looking for

    We are rapidly expanding our new Edinburgh office, and are eager to find talented graduate developers who can work both independently and within a mixed-site team. The ideal candidate will have two years of Java, possibly as part of a university course or project, and one year of scripting experience in Python or Ruby. Experience with C and embedded systems development is desirable. You should have a good understanding of data structures and algorithmic complexity and strong numerical skills. You would be working in a fast-paced agile environment, and experience with Scrum is desirable. You should have good communication skills, particularly spoken English, with other European languages a plus.
